We are looking for an experienced grower to take responsibility for the day-to-day production of our market garden.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys the pace, responsibility and problem-solving that comes with running a productive market garden.
About us
Nominated as one of the Top 50 Farms in Europe, The Culinary Farm is a small-scale, diversified market garden in the heart of Skåne, southern Sweden.
We grow a wide range of seasonal vegetables using agroecological principles, with a strong focus on flavour and quality. Our produce is grown primarily for chefs and our veggie-bag members in Malmö, Lund and Höör.
The farm also serves as an educational platform for Market Gardening in the Nordics. Each season, we welcome 10–15 interns from around the world who join us for an immersive training in human-scale regenerative agriculture.
The role:
As Market Garden Production Manager, you will be responsible for turning the seasonal crop plan into an efficient day-to-day operation, taking charge of all aspects of our production from seed to harvest.
You will:
Plan weekly and daily production priorities.
Lead, organise and work alongside our interns.
Stay on top of sowing, planting, cultivation, irrigation and harvest.
Maintain high standards of quality and efficiency.
Identify bottlenecks and improve workflows.
Keep essential production and harvest records.
Ensure tools, irrigation systems, machinery and infrastructure are functioning properly.

Genuinely enjoys the intensity and variation of market gardening.
Experience
You should have:
At least 1–2 full seasons of commercial vegetable-growing experience.
Experience with small-scale diversified vegetable production or Market Gardening. Knowledge of soil health, crop management and protection against pests & diseases. Experience leading, supervising or organising others.
Good communication skills in English.
A valid driving licence.
The legal right to work and live in Sweden.
Relevant horticultural or agricultural education is an advantage, but not required. Swedish is a plus, not a requirement.
