Join our team in Sweden to work with dressage and jumping horses. We are an independently owned small clinic located at the heart of a national equine center, approximately 1.5hours drive from Stockholm with focus on equine orthopedics and surgery.

We are looking for an experienced sport horse veterinarian to join our team at our fantastic clinic. Excellent interpersonal skills as well as ability to work tightly with all team members and clients is highly valued. We prioritize work-life balance and are proud to be able to offer regular working hours without any on-call duty.

The beautiful clinic was built in 2020 with indoor lameness corridor, indoor lunging arena and an outdoor ebb-and-flow (27 x 60m) riding arena. The clinic has floor heating making the working conditions lovely even during the cold winter months. We are currently 2 veterinarians, 3 nurses and a farrier working at the clinic.

The clinic is equipped with a modern ultrasound machine, two digital portable x-ray systems, lameness locator, endoscope, gastroscope etc. The owner of the practice is a board certified surgeon (DiplACVS) and works In close collaboration with two other equine clinics where all surgeries requiring GA are performed.

There is a CT (with options for standing scans of the head) 15 minutes from our clinic, there are two alternatives for standing MRI within 1.5 hours drive from our clinic and additional MR under GA (up to stifle) at the clinic that we collaborate with.

Our case load is primarily show jumpers and dressage horses ranging from hobby riders to professionals. Working language is Swedish and English with requirement that the employee will gradually learn the Swedish language. Veterinary license from another European country / UK is required for the position.
