About AAK

Our story goes back more than 150 years, to the chilly southern coast of Scandinavia. From our early success in Sweden and Denmark, we’ve grown into the world’s leading specialist producer of plant-based oils, employing more than 4,000 people across the globe.

We work with our customers to make the products you love even better. The oils we produce go into making your chocolate extra-creamy or putting the crunch into your croissant. And it’s not just food — we work across industries to make products that are higher quality, healthier and better for the planet.

Everything we do is about Making Better Happen™.

AAK Location
Preferably the position will be based in our office in Karlshamn or our head office in Malmo, Sweden. However, for the right candidate within the Nordic region we are open to working remotely with the expectation of regular travel to Karlshamn where our Animal Nutrition team is based.

About the position
We are looking for a new Sales Manager for our Animal Nutrition team. Within the animal nutrition field, AAK supplies solutions based on oils, fats, and proteins. The focus is on ruminants, but we also have products for pigs and poultry. The majority of our customers are in the Nordic region, but the responsibility is pan-European and includes customers in central and eastern Europe.

The main objective for our new Sales Manager is to manage accounts in the animal feed industry, to maintain existing business, and to develop new business with both existing and new customers. The job requires frequent travel, mainly to visit customers, but also to attend trade shows, seminars, and other industry events.

The Sales Manager Animal Nutrition works closely with our Customer Innovation Managers and Product Managers to optimize profitability and ensure that our portfolio of products matches our customers’ needs and expectations. Close cooperation with our production team and QA is vital to make sure that new products can be produced in a safe and efficient way.

Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve volume, margin, and growth targets within the animal nutrition business of AAK.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in both existing and new markets across Europe.
- Conduct regular customer visits to build strong, long-term relationships and ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms in line with company guidelines and profitability targets.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to inform strategic decisions.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts, budgets, and reports to management.
- Work closely with production, supply chain, and quality assurance teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products.
- Represent AAK at trade shows, industry conferences, and customer events to promote our brand and products.
- Support the development of marketing materials and campaigns targeted at the animal nutrition market.

About you
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a commercial role, with a proven track record of achieving sales and growth targets. Preferably experience within the animal feed industry, however candidates from other industries with relevant skills are also welcome to apply.
- An academic degree in animal science or a related field is advantageous but not required. Familiarity with ruminant nutrition and oils & fats technology is also a plus, though not essential, as AAK provides training in these areas.
- Good business acumen and strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align diverse interests toward shared goals.
- Skilled at building and maintaining long-term relationships with customers and cross-functional internal teams.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and comfortable working in an international and intercultural environment.
- Self-motivated, structured, and adaptable, with a balance of independent drive and collaborative spirit.
- Fluency in English and a Scandinavian language (Swedish, Danish, or Norwegian) is required.
- Genuine passion for, or strong connection to the agricultural sector.
